Despues del anuncio de Sony que adquiria a Erickson, el gigante japones saldrá al mercado con su nombre habitual e incorporando a sus nuevos productos todo su saber hacer en fotografia, musica e informatica. En este reporte se informa que en MWC 2012 Sony presentará su primer versión de Xperia para Windows Phone, el modelo de telefono conocido con la clave Julie. El nuevo smartphone que se desvelará en Barcelona cuenta con un teclado deslizante que ofrece un conjunto de opciones a su dueño. El nuevo telefono debe salir con un procesador de 1.4GHz y 512MB de memoria RAM. Existen distintas especulaciones sobre las posibilidades del teclado, capacidad de la camara. Este nuevo desarrollo de Sony se quiere diferenciar de la familia Xperia que ya está reservada a la plataforma Android.

Sony may bring a Windows Phone with a slide-out keyboard to Mobile World Congress 2012
Sony is reportedly developing a Windows Phone handset and it could be making an appearance at Mobile World Congress at the end of February, 2012.
Rumours are now floating around that some ‘sources close to Sony’ say the Japanese manufacturer will be debuting a Windows Phone powered smartphone at the Barcelona-based mobile expo.
A Sony Ericsson-branded Windows Phone was spotted in 2011 sporting a slide-out Qwerty keyboard and under the rather awful codename ‘Julie’. Another device, or possibly the same one, leaked in 2012, too.
While the Xperia brand has been specifically reserved for Android, the photos of this Windows handset show something very familiar looking and we wouldn’t be surprised if what started as the Xperia ‘look’ has now become Sony’s signature style as it expands into other platforms.
It’s a good thing, too, because whatever gripes we may have had with Sony Ericsson Xperia phones in the past, they’ve always looked pretty neat.
Of course, there has been no official word on such a device and so far no specs have leaked along with the pictures, but with Microsoft’s platform being what it is we’d expect a single core processor clocked at around 1.4GHz and 512MB of RAM.
We also know that Sony can produce some spectacular displays and cameras, as seen on the Xperia Arc S, so here’s hoping it’ll boast some similar quality.
Sony is attending Mobile World Congress in late February and we’re going to be watching the announcements very closely.
It could be that the company keeps this one under wraps and we may hear about it later in the year instead, or it could be a load of nonsense, but rest assured if Sony mentions Windows we’ll be reporting it back to you pronto.
